Hey hey hey, Smashi Sports Fam! 🌟⚽
From Al Hilal’s pursuit of Pedro Neto to Hamza Abdelkarim’s growing Barcelona case and Saudi interest in Rafael Leão, there’s plenty happening across regional sport. Chelsea’s asking price could complicate Al Hilal’s Neto chase, Barcelona have reportedly backed Hamza after his impressive preseason form, and Saudi Pro League clubs have entered the race for Leão.

Al Hilal Face Huge Pedro Neto Price Hike

What Is It About
Al Hilal’s pursuit of Pedro Neto is reportedly progressing, but Chelsea’s asking price could be the biggest obstacle. The London club were initially reported to be open to negotiations at around $65 million, but their price has now reportedly climbed to around $130 million.

Why It Matters
Direct club-to-club talks have been reported, while Al Hilal have also sent a financial proposal to Neto’s camp. Personal terms have reportedly progressed, but no formal bid has been submitted to Chelsea yet.

What’s Next
Chelsea are not actively looking to sell Neto, who joined from Wolves in 2024 for around $69 million. For now, Al Hilal’s interest remains active, but the price jump could make the deal much harder to complete.

Barcelona Back Hamza Abdelkarim After Preseason Form

What Is It About
Barcelona have reportedly stopped their search for a striker after Hamza Abdelkarim’s impressive preseason performances. According to L’Équipe, the club are now convinced the 18-year-old Egyptian forward can be part of their plans as they look beyond Robert Lewandowski.

Why It Matters
Hamza has quickly become one of the standout stories of Barcelona’s preseason. The Egyptian striker is reportedly the club’s top scorer this summer, with four goals in three matches since earning his first-team call-up.

What’s Next
Barcelona are now expected to continue giving Hamza opportunities with the first team. If he keeps this form going, the former Al Ahly youngster could play a bigger role in Hansi Flick’s squad this season.

Saudi Clubs Enter Rafael Leão Race

What Is It About
Saudi Pro League clubs have entered the race for Rafael Leão, with talks expected with the Portuguese winger’s camp as his AC Milan future remains uncertain. Galatasaray are also pushing for a deal, but no Saudi club has been named yet.

Why It Matters
Leão would be another major attacking name linked with Saudi football. Galatasaray have reportedly offered AC Milan €35 million plus bonuses, while preparing a five-year contract worth €10-12 million net per season for the player.

What’s Next
Milan’s demands have reportedly dropped to around €45 million, while manager Rúben Amorim has said Leão remains valuable but must fight for his place. For now, there is no formal Saudi offer reported.
