Why It Matters
Al Nassr’s AFC Champions League Elite match against Al Wasl, scheduled for Monday in Riyadh, faces postponement after the UAE club had not arrived, according to Asharq Al-Awsat. Gulf News, citing Al Khaleej, reports that Al Wasl decided against travelling because of a lack of available flights.

Two Wins, 25 Places: Salah Sends Trabzonspor Flying Up Europe’s Rankings

What Is It About
Trabzonspor have climbed from 166th at the start of the season to 141st in UEFA’s club rankings after back-to-back Conference League wins over KuPS and Hearts, according to Turkish website 61saat. The results lifted the club 25 places.

Why It Matters
61saat credits Egyptian star Mohamed Salah for the surge, and the club’s tally now stands at 12.5 points. Salah set up the opening goal and scored the second in the 4-2 win at KuPS, before Trabzonspor beat Hearts 2-0.

What’s Next
Trabzonspor have won both of their league-phase matches so far. Freiburg are among their remaining opponents, according to the draw.

Atletico Madrid Eye Marmoush, But A £60m Clause Stands In The Way

What Is It About
Atletico Madrid have reportedly flagged Omar Marmoush as a priority for the summer of 2027, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes. The outlet writes that Diego Simeone “would view his incorporation favourably”, particularly if a sporting sanction against Manchester City triggered movement in the English club’s squad.

Why It Matters
Marmoush is at Tottenham on a season-long loan that carries a £60m obligation to buy, split between a £50m guaranteed payment and £10m in add-ons. The obligation locks in when the loan ends in 2027, so the agreement between Spurs and City would have to be unpicked first.

What’s Next
No formal contact has been reported and no price has been floated. Marmoush scored his first Tottenham goal in last Monday’s 3-1 win over Coventry City, the club’s first league victory of the season.
