In a press conference ahead of their next match, Fatih Terim was asked about his players refusing to train on Monday, for which he replied “Sadly this problem happened, but it’s a sensitive issue that can’t be discussed in the press conference, if there’s any clarification it’s up to the management.”
Al Shabab players refused to show up to training on Monday before returning on Tuesday due to not receiving their salaries, despite several promises from the club’s management.

Egyptian FA Working To Add Sonny Sharples To The U-20 National Team Squad For AFCON
The U-20 Egyptian National Team staff have started procedures to give Bolton Wanderers’ Sonny Sharples Egyptian citizenship in order for him to join the team for the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
Sharples played two friendlies in February with the U-20 Egyptian National Team, where he impressed the coaching staff. Sharples was born in England, but he qualifies to represent Egypt internationally through his Egyptian great-grandfather.

According to Sacha Tavolieri, highly-rated 19-year-old Club Brugge winger Chemsdine Talbi has opted to represent Morocco internationally over Belgium. Talbi was born in Belgium to a Moroccan father and previously represented Belgium’s youth teams.
Tavolieri stated that Talbi has requested to change his sporting nationality since September, and his request has now been approved by FIFA. he is also already in Walid Regragui's Morocco preselection for March’s World Cup qualifying games.
