During the CAF's General Assembly, Egyptian FA President Hany Abo Rida made a request to FIFA president Gianni Infantino that Egypt be chosen to host a group in the 2034 World Cup, as part of the celebration for the 100áµ—Ę° anniversary of Egypt's first World Cup participation.

Eric Abidal Appointed As Sporting Director Of Al Wasl
Al Wasl have announced the appointment of Barcelona legend Eric Abidal as sporting director for the club. He was previously Barcelona’s sporting director.
Abidal will be responsible for Al Wasl’s planning, sports management and developing the club’s academy and youth teams.

Al Qadsiah and Belgium goalkeeper Koen Casteels announced his retirement from the Belgium National Team due to the return of Thibaut Courtois to the team, who had walked out on the national team following a disagreement with then coach Domenico Tedesco.

Al Hilal Reportedly Make A Lucrative Offer For Virgil van Dijk
According to L’Equipe, Al Hilal have made an official offer of $22M per season for Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk, who is off contract in June and is free to negotiate pre-contract terms with any interested foreign club.
When asked if he will be back with Liverpool for another try at winning a second European Cup next season, van Dijk said “I have no idea. I still have no idea at the moment. Genuinely. If there is news, you guys will know it. But I don’t even know myself.”
