Virtus Segafredo Bologna owner Massimo Zanetti claimed that Dubai BC will join the Euroleague next season during Wednesday's press conference, stating "A lot of people watch [the Euroleague] and there will be plenty of opportunities, since the team from Dubai will join next season".
Dubai Basketball Club, which was founded in 2024, is currently in its ABA Adriatic League debut season With a 20-5 record currently sitting at third place. The team has many well-known players such as Davis Bertans, Klemen Prepelic and Awudu Abass.

Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE are preparing a joint bid to host the 2035 Rugby World Cup, according to reports from The Times. This would be the first time the Rugby World Cup would be held in the Middle East, following in the footsteps of football in bringing a major tournament to the region.
So far, none of the three countries have participated in any Rugby World Cups, and the UAE are the highest ranked at 48ᵗʰ in the world rankings, and Qatar sit 87ᵗʰ. Saudi Arabia are currently not in the 118 countries on the rankings table.

According to UAEKick on X, the Qatar FA have submitted a bid for current Al Wasl head coach Milos Milojevic, they want the Serbian to replace Luis Garcia at the helm.
